Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 23, 2025
CommuteGeek (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
- Device Token: Used to send you push notifications such as alarm reminders. Stored securely via Firebase and not shared with third parties.
- Location Data: Used to estimate travel time and set alarms accurately. We do not store your location beyond what is required to generate your commute plan.
- Alarm Sessions: Your alarm preferences and schedules are stored locally on your device and in Firebase to provide synchronization and insights.
- Crash & Diagnostic Info: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized crash logs to improve app stability. This may include session IDs and contextual app metadata.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data only to provide the core features of CommuteGeek: setting alarms based on your commute and notifying you when it’s time to prepare or leave.
3. Third-Party Services
We use services including Apple Maps, Firebase, and Google Maps. These providers may collect information as described in their own privacy policies.
4. Your Rights
You may disable location access or notifications at any time in your device settings. Doing so may limit app functionality. You may also request data deletion by contacting us.
